PPF CARE & WARRANTY
Recommended Care & Maintenance
For Profilm Paint Protection Film (PPF) to perform at its best, we recommend the following care of your vehicle’s exterior surfaces:
- Allow a two-week curing period after PPF installation before washing or polishing your vehicle.
- Thereafter, regular washing is recommended.
- Handwash with regular car shampoo.
- Hand polish only.
- If you do use a high-pressure washer to clean your vehicle, you should keep the nozzle at least 1 metre from film edges to prevent lifting. Set the washer jet to a wide spray.
- Treat your PPF with a flexible coating. Alternatively apply a non-abrasive polish twice yearly to maintain optimal gloss.
- Over time, and in extreme conditions, dirt may gather on the PPF surface. In such a situation it is recommended that the vehicle be returned to the installation centre for a gentle polish. This will lift the dirt and return the gloss.
- Remove insects, bird droppings or other stains as soon as they appear. Such contaminants may cause permanent etching if left on exterior surfaces for an extended period.
- Remove dirt build-up along the edges by using alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
